Perfect Ten Kennels

I started this kennel in 2007, with the goal of developing several bloodlines of deer beagles to hunt the variable terrain of Central Virginia. I started with a top running brood stock of healthy hard hunting hounds, with good noses and the ability to hunt for themselves. Although I regularly cast 6 or more beagles at a time into the woods, I want each beagle to be able to jump and run their own game, so that as many chases/deer are pushed from the block at a time. I picked the colors/bloodlines based on personal preference and past hunting history.

My tri-color stock varies from 18" blanket backed males, to 14 1/2 " spotted gyp. They are not slow trailing dogs, and usually keep up with the walker hounds for the first couple drives.

My blue-ticked beagle stock is still growing, with just two females (mother and daughter). The mom is a proven breeder, birthing 11 puppies in her last litter, with 10 surviving. They both jump and run their own deer, and are two of my faster paced females.

My RedClay Beagles are a new bloodline/sub-breed. Due to issues with the name Warfield Red's and the confusion it has caused, we have decided to re-name our bloodline/sub-breed of beagle. I was lucky enough to receive two pups (brother/sister) from a litter 2 years ago. Both of the red beagles surpassed my wildest dreams. With very little work, they were both jumping and running their own deer by 6 months (I have references to prove this). They run a beautiful sweeping pattern in the field and mind very well to their handler. They check back upon being called to a hot track, they bay a dead deer, and will return to the exact place they were cast from 75% of the time. Since I've owned these two beagles I've had more offers to buy them than I could shake a stick at, and some of those offers being very very handsome. I wouldn't sell either of them for a million dollars, BUT I am happy to keep this exceptional bloodline going and allow others to own such amazing hunting companions. We breed one to two litters a year depending on interested buyers, and all our puppies are vaccinated, wormed, checked before being sold. We've had folks buy them as pampered pets and been overjoyed with the outcome, and we've sold countless puppies to hunters who return frequently to brag on the beagles abilities after deer or rabbits, or to purchase more pups. The bloodline we breed carries very distinct physical characteristics, and traits. We never inter-breed our bloodlines, and so do not have any health problems from our hounds, but we strive to maintain a general uniform appearance in all of the RedClay stock . Our beagles are run year round, and field trial during part of the year. With so few reputable beagle breeders out there, trust that Perfect Ten Kennels will go above and beyond to deliver you the same joy and happiness that we have experienced over the years. Our super rare RedClay beagles are all the rage among deer beagle breeders/hunters and we're trying to develop this bloodline into a top bloodline among deer beagles today. All our dogs are friendly and have a happy disposition. I do not tolerate overly aggresive behavior in the hounds, and have no trouble with fighting or bullying in the pens.
From the time our puppies are born, they are handled and cared for by my wife and I. We hand feed the pups so that they associate food with people, and they're trained to come to their owners calls before feeding daily. We are not a puppy mill, and the health and safety of our hounds is our #1 priority at all times. If we decide that your home is unfitting for the pup, we will rapidly refund your monies and reposses the puppy. We expect our beagles to hunt hard, listen, and act appropriately, and in return our beagles expect us to feed, water, and care for their safety. We look forward to hearing from you, and don't forget to check out all our pictures, with new ones being posted all the time. If you have a beagle related picture you would like posted, please email me at ltentecoastin@aol.com and title the subject BEAGLE. Thanks for visiting.
